RTE wanted its project for improvements to electric lines in the Ossau Valley to fall within the scope of an ecodistrict and, by extension, to adopt a circular economy approach. To achieve that, RTE needed guidance and assistance very early on in the process and also during the works phase, lasting until the work is complete when there will be a review of the whole approach.
Two ecodistricts located in the Ossau Valley (near Pau in the south west of France) are the subjects of the assistance and guidance:

• 63kV rehabilitation project of electric lines
• HTB2 (high voltage B2) project for restructuring the existing substation in Hourat

IDE Environnement was appointed to provide project management assistance with the managing of waste from the site.
