INSTALLATION OF VOLUNTARY DISPOSAL POINTS IN THE FORM OF UNDERGROUND CONTAINERS - VALSERHONE (01)

Description

The Sidefage, which now encompasses 165 communes (11 member EPCIs – public bodies for intercommunal cooperation) in Ain and Haute-Savoie who are members via intercommunal councils or greater administrative district councils, covering 430,000 inhabitants, wanted to carry out a pre project-launch study prior to the development of a plan for the management of household biowaste for the area covered.
The aim is to propose elements in relation to the overall context and obligations pursuant to regulations, and suggest scenarios of avoidance, collection, beneficiation to be envisaged. This comprehensive study comprises 3 phases:

Phase 1: Evaluate existing and potential sources

  • Regulatory analysis: obligations, constraints, etc.
  • Inventory of biowaste processing and beneficiating facilities
  • Review of current state of pre-collection and collection system
  • Review of current state of prevention, local composting and shredding
  • Assessment of potential sources of biowaste, given the area covered

Phase 2: Determine potential solutions

  • Benchmarking of possible solutions
  • Analysis of the different scenarios and division of the area into sectors
  • Comparative analysis

Phase 3: Proposals for leads in terms of organisation

  • Specifics of the technico-economic analysis
  • Road map/schedule
